Photo booths are the perfect way to make any wedding unforgettable and entertain guest! This new trend of wedding photography is a unique experience allowing wedding attendants to participate in creative, fun group photos. Adding fun props such as posters, glasses, tiaras, mustaches, hats, masks and wigs create humor and excitement for guests. Photo booths do not just have to be used for entertainment for the guests, they can also be used before the wedding by the bride and groom sending out their Save-the Date. The photos from your wedding's photo booths can also be made into a guest book for the bride and groom to treasure forever. A recent Kate and Company wedding incorporated a photo booth at their wedding...here are some photos from Megan and Jake Schmidt's wedding!

Top 2012 Trend Thirteen: A Mismatched Wedding

From bridesmaid dresses to boutonnieres, the trend for a 2012 wedding is to have less symmetry than ever before! Standing at the altar with carbon copy bridesmaids is out, while letting your bridesmaid choose dresses in different colors, styles, lengths, and patterns is in. Let your bridesmaids wear a dress that fits their own unique figure, style, and personality. And, that they will wear again!

Although mismatching is the trend, we suggest keeping a central theme in order to keep the entire ceremony unified, polished, and stylish. The possibilities of how to pull this trend off are endless! Here are a few tips:

  • Pick the exact same dress in the different tones of your wedding color palette. This creates a stylish look and gives your bridal party a pop of color.
  • For the groomsmen, let them choose from different colored boutonnieres or ties.
  • Use the same color, but different shades. This idea works great for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Pantone color books or paint fan books from your local hardware store make great sources of inspiration to start.
  • Give your bridesmaids the exact color and fabric you would like them to wear and let them come up with their own dress.
  • Want to keep it simple? Have the same dress for all of your bridesmaids and mismatch the accessories. From necklaces, shoes, bouquets, and earrings, you have an endless amount of possibilities!

Top 2012 Trend Eleven: Spirited Tango Takes The Lead

Color palettes for 2012 are bold, vivacious and subtly seductive. Color authority Pantone Color Institute drives the trends for fashion and d├ęcor and this year their pick for 2012's color of the year is Tangerine Tango. This reddish orange color is vibrant and energetic, sure to be an attention grabber at any wedding. We are also seeing soft muted pastels, greens, blues and lilacs in fabrics and bolder, vibrant colors like reds, oranges, lime greens and royal blues in decor accents. Black is back as an accent. For example, black sofas are "in" and white are "out" when creating lounges for receptions or post wedding fun.

Top 2012 Trend Ten: Tell your Love Story

A new trend in reception videography is the “he said/she said” versions of a love story (much like in the movie When Harry met Sally). Stories and video style can be customized to the couple’s preferences. And now instead of the traditional table interviews during the reception, the videographer is taping the reactions from the guests to personalize the video even more.
